Srinagar Day 2

Srinagar Day 2,

The plane for the second day was quite simple 1^st the “Gulmarg Gondola” then the “Hazratbal Shrine”. We started around 8:30 am as we had booked online the tickets of cable car ride in the time slot of 11 am, you can also check the availability  and the rates on the its official websites Gulmarg Gondola tickets .

There are actually 2 faces of this cable car ride, the 1^st face is at a height of around 9000 ft. and 2^nd face is at 14000 ft. As we were in the summer season, so we were least expecting the show over there but still there was a hope of snow at the second face but to be on safer side we booked the tickets till the 1^st face only so that if we find any hope of snow at 2^nd face we will book over there itself.

After standing for 15 min in the line we got our ride, its six setter car in which people are face opposite to each outer, 3 one side and 3 on the other side, because of that we face some trouble as we were 4 and one have seat apart but it was ok, The ride gives you the thrill of traveling between the trees or you can say flying between the trees, one small advice try to seat on the front seats of the ride for better fun and view,

After we reach the top of the 1^st face, the very 1^st reaction was OMG! the place was really awesome, I and my brother try seek the 2^nd face but it was so foggy that we were hardly able to see the cars after certain distance, what a beautiful view it was just breath taking in both the way, taking way our breath with it’s awesomeness and also due to high altitude, because of that my parents sate down near the cable car station and we were running as far as possible,

I will personally advise to have checkup before you move to such high place, always carry your medicines. Diamox and multi-vitamin tablets are some of the important things you need to carry along with you for high altitude. Read this PDF to know more on High altitude sickness

I and my brother we were gone crazy, one can say that as we were running, dancing, taking photos and lot more and in the mid of that the god show his mercy to us and the fog moved from the 2^nd face and we are finally looking at second face top and with that our hearts were semi broken, half part broken as there was no show and half part saved as we saved our bucks. After 10 min my mom started feeling uneasy and was going hard on her breath so we decided to move down, somehow we spend around 1 hr. over there from the allotted 2 hrs.

After reaching down we started for Hazratbal Shrine one of the famous, wonderful and spiritual darga but before we reach the Hazratbal Shrine, Srinagar show us it’s another wonder, all the way long we found many apple frames and walnut frames we stop at one farm but we were getting late so we didn’t enter the farm we just step out, took some pictures and moved, There was one special request from this farmers, “kindly do not pick the fruits from trees”.

Finlay we reach the last visiting spot of our trip, yet there are many places one can visit in Srinagar but we have coved almost all he main attraction and we have to move for Leh as it was waiting for us. 

There are many amazing things at Hazratbal Shrine 1^st of all the Darga, 2^nd it is in front of Dal Jheel and 3^rd I will tell you in a while, after we finish our prays and emerging our heats in faith and devotion we sat down and started wondering at Dal and the very next moment my mom ask me to go for the motor boat ride in the dal i was ok , if not the shikara rides at least motor boat ride, He charge us  50 bucks and took us to an island kind of place in the mid of dal

It’s again a Mughaliya structure made for some that I don’t know who,  but it was good and that was the final extension of the Srinagar trip, now the 3^rd and final amazing thing of Hazratbal Shrine, it was this

I have never seen such big bhatura and this is the only bhatura which was sold on kg bases and it was magnificent and we returned to hole to get ready for Leh, the real thrill was Leh was 415 km far its 2 day journey and we were ready to rock it , Leh here we come :D

Srinagar

Srinagar: Day 1

Well every one admit that Srinagar is the wonderland, the air of Srinagar make you excited to enjoy the upcoming thrill, we experienced the same. The day 1 plane was to visit all the famous gardens and Dal Jheel, all though we had a glimpse of the lake when we were heading to the hotel and it was really amazing.

Starting our ride of the day we 1^st headed to Chashma Shahi(the royal spring) garden the one of the famous garden built around 1632 AD by Ali Mardan Khan a governor of Mughal emperor and as per the orders of Mughal Emperor Sha Jahan as a gift to Sha Jahan’s son. This garaden is small but pretty, you will find such vibrant colored flower, that you want spend you day over there but don’t stay for long hours as there are my thing coming up next, the main attraction of the this place the water from the spring which really sweet and chill, it was said the Pandit Nehru (Jawaharlal Nehru) use to drink water from here, bring big cans from here to Delhi, so if you are there taste the water.

While coming down from Chashma Shahi our driver show the royal prince house and his personal garden which was huge but public is not allowed over there, any way reaching to main road there is another garden Chashma Shahi flower garden that is a simple flower garden, there you go and spent time to relax, enjoy the view, flowers and also if you want to try the traditional

dress and want to have photo in those dresses, you can fine people with dresses they will chard you minimum of 50 bucks and you can have the photo to have a classic touch and experience like my Mom and Dad, this garden is facilitate with boating but I advices to hold your excitement for Dal lake as shikara rides are waiting for you.

After Chashma Shahi we went to Nishat bagh the one I have read in my school book, Before Nishat shows its beauty to us we find many, many kids playing in and around the fountains for a moment I thought that might be some festival of playing in water but they all are my minds myth as they all are simply paling and enjoying, I have never saw such thing in my life, I guess if it was not in Srinagar this fun this madness couldn’t be possible, as in most places garden authority will not allow such fun.

As we move in the garden there were not much of flowers as the main season for the flowers to blossom is April but we got enough to pleas our eyes. Another thing what I noticed that not just the kinds, grownups were also in the fountain water playing like kids, seen that I was like “lets jump in dude” but my bad luck.

Rinsing my mind in some of the most beautiful memories we move out and in front of the Nishat bagh  shikara rides are there but it was noon and sun is really hot so we moved to Shalimar bagh, shikara rides well be awesome in winter and if you have hard luck like mine enjoy this ride in morning nearly sun rise or evening when sun is about to fall you will enjoy it. 

We reach the Shalimar Bagh the main attraction of the day and turned out to be standing on my expectation, classic beautiful girls, joking flowers most of all the way it was built it gives you a royal feeling when you move in the garden and at end you will find a building giving an ancient touch to the garden but many of Indian lovers destroyed this beautiful art, it’s really sad but still you can enjoy, one thing is there the peace mind one find there is just unexplainable. We sat there are just relax for while and moved to hotel, caring memories for life time and to prepare for the next exciting day. All the 4 gardens were awesome and have their own significance and it’s hard to compare them with each other it have its own fun  

(Note: The charges to all this 4 gardens is 20 bucks and 10 for kids, and there is no time limit to stay in the garden so you can spend you full day but do not do that as there lot more to see)

Chennai To Srinagar

Me and my family

                We started at 3 am from our house to catch our Indigo flight 6E 652 from Chennai to Srinagar which was scheduled to depart at 5 early that morning. This trip was made to cover three most adventures and beautiful cities of India, Srinagar the haven on land, Leh-Ladakh the king of Mountains and Kullu-Manali the adventurous sport.This trip is fully planed and organized by my brother and my father and it really turned out amazing and wonderful.

It’s my first time being in Indigo airlines as I use to travel in Spice jet but it’s almost the same apart from the food that you have to select on board even though if its pre-booked. That’s good in one way to have variety in the selection of meals.

 We reach Srinagar around 10:30 and finds our drive for the Srinagar trip, he drop’s us at the Hotel / Resort Named Gulab Resort were the manager Bilal is waiting for us, as this is an off season we got two rooms at 1000 bucks per night which was pre-booked online on Goibibo, it’s a personal advice to search hotels online as many times it help's in finding a cheap but standard hotels, plus there are many discounts come along with it helps to save your bills.
The rate changes based on the month you planned to visit Srinagar, as you may find costly in winter when snow fall stars but were as less costly in summer months mostly from July mid to September mid, as this was a tri-city road trip we choose to go in August.
